Why Do We Clean So Much More Before Our Parents Visit ?
OK...My Dad and his wife are coming over, for the first time in my lifetime, to my house and I have found myself wanting to clean more than usual...LOL. What's up with all this mental pressure to impress them with the clean house ,and yard, and storage area, and back patio, and bedroom, and bathroom, and, and, and....What the What? I guess I don't want him to walk in and yell at me to clean my room like I yell at my kids to do. Then the kids would know I use to keep my room messy like they do. hehehehehehe ! Or is it that deep feeling of wanting to show my Dad how much I have grown up and to still seek his approval and praise. We are funny people when it comes to our parents. I just hope we have a good time and yes it is great to have the clean house while they visit. I know I never mention anything about how anyone keeps their house, at least not until I leave and they can't hear me. lol. I will let you know how it all comes out.
